No, I just was sort of surfing the Utube video's on M1icon Garand and ran across one that I just started watching on disassembly/assembly. Looked at several others and ran across another one. Went back today looking for them and couldn't find the two that I saw with the 'maybe 'buttons' on them. There are a lot of video's on the Garand-some informative, some pretty amateurish and poorly done. In both of them that I viewed the 'button' (?), when they withdrew the spring it just showed a very quick shot and they layed the springs down. I played them back but couldn't get a clear view, but it 'appeared' that their was maybe a brass or brass colored button on the ends. I've never seen pictures or any written info on any such alteration of the action spring, hence my post.
