Each country by itself, no plan to help control the disease.
No use for such a bureaucratic nullity.
I think many things will change after the storm...
Not intended to be political, but this shows the "fragility" of the EU and one really good reason why GB was wise to pull out...

That is, unfortunately, true and 100% correct.
The safety masks ordered by Italyicon have been blocked and seized in Germanyicon, Austriaicon has closed the borders, Slovenia has sealed them.
Other countries have started discriminating Italians.
Until the enormous crap Mrs. Lagarde said Thursday, which caused yesterday some out-of-time and very embarassed reactions from the EU, not a single “partner” country has offered any kind of help.
That is a real shame. We can come out of this by ourselves, but the next one who will tell me about the need for a united Europe for being stronger all together, I guess I might be friendly but quite impolite in my answer...

Aragorn, if you consider how this thing spreads, I don’t really think you can do much about it until the proportions of the problems it causes strike people.
We had idiots huddling and bunching up in bars until a couple days ago, mostly in the South, which was mostly still out of it, but not only.
When I leave home now, I have to bring ID, a form with all my data, address, reason for being out and the Carabinieri or Police will 100% check it.
Thousands of people have already gotten in big trouble for being too “smart” and taking it for joke.
But please believe it, slowly build up a stock of stuff and take it seriously.
The feeling you describe is real. Traffic is down to almost nothing. Today, Saturday, no cars at all. No motorbikes, no bikes...
Greta’s Paradise. Unluckily that would require the extinction of 95% of all people.

I still believe it is not really going to get too much worse than this, so I confirm DEFCON 3 at home.
All ready, but still in the safe.

If we keep the emergency at three weeks, I’m also covered with Prosecco, so no panic.

that was the whole point of the EU. TO keep all of Europe unable to do anything on its own unless told to by Germanyicon
