    Colorful military ammunition boxes

Attached pic shows US military caliber .30 20 round ammunition boxes from the 1942 time period. Just love the color codes in use then.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Colorful bullet tips on 7,62mm, to be fair, I should have provided more details. The green tip L C 64 is the frangible bullet for the M60 m/g but soon discontinued. The red tip is
tracer with a special bullet for helicopter m/g. The purple tip is Japaneseicon low recoil AO W63 with a half NATO cross headstamp, I thought it was the dim tracer but research told
the story. The green tip is the duplex with two 83 gr bullets, had limited use in Viet Nam. The white tip is the low recoil FA 66 with a 90 gr steel core XM 256 design to be in the
M14icon rifle for small stature troops (Viet Nam) but never found a following because of the M2 carbine and later M16.

The AP cartridge is headstamped L C 54 and is from a short production run
