Did I read somewhere that the Savage "trials" rifles didn't have the "US Property" stamp?

I'm not sure I know what a 'Savage Trials rifle' is.......but AFAIK they all bore the 'US Property' mark, although some have subsequently had it removed. This very subject crops up periodically in threads; one quite recently.

Thanks Bindi2.
Roger, I put trials in quotes deliberately, as it was referred to as used in trials in the adverisement.
The grammer and spelling in the advertisement hasn't improved.

“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”
