It's getting pretty bad here in Michigan especially in the more populated counties around Detroit with 6,218 cases... 327 deaths. County wise... Wayne 4,321 cases..... 282 deaths.
Oakland county 4,511 cases with 282 dead. So as of the 3pm update today Michigan has 22,783 cases with 1,281 dead. Makes you wonder how many haven't been diagnosed yet?
Currently our Woman governor has us shut down til the end of April. Wonder who threw that dart at the calendar? Same one that yesterday started a Virus Task Force to look in to Racial Disparities. I guess the long lines of traffic looking for food for their kids will have to wait!
Now many are heading to their upstate cabins and cottages trying to get away from the bigger cities. This has made those who live year round 'Up North' upset, tensions and trouble is brewing as we now see the numbers are climbing in the upper rural areas. It's making it harder for smaller grocery stores up there to keep stock. And much harder on the EMT, Police and smaller hospital/clinical centers. Fewer Doctors and nurses up there.

It's just my Wife and I here at home but we have to be very careful because she has a weak immune system from her meds for Crohns and Parkinsons. She is trying to be strong but in the 40+ years we've been together I've never seen her this shaken.... except maybe after a car wreck I managed to survive back in 1985. Her Mother is alone 91 years old and fighting Cancer, living 20 minutes south of Detroit Metro airport in Wayne county in a small town called Flat Rock. Since the lock downs my Wife has been talking with a counselor once a week on the phone. It seems to give her some peace of mind... even if just for that day, so thats a good thing.

I still had a partial pallet of 3M #8511 N95 masks for pro/commercial work stored away from my working/spraying days. I was able to donate about 2,500 to our local EMT, FIREMEN and POLICE. I sent 3 boxes to my Daughter and 4-1/2 year old grandson out in DC and 3 boxes to my son and DIL here in the central MI area and some to my neighbors on either side.

Still been pretty chilly here but near every day I walk out back and fire off a few magazines from the dock in to the river bank or topple over a few of the dead standing trees. No one behind us for 5 miles, so I'm safely directing my fire. Thats my therapy and I must say it seems to help.

2 days ago I found out my closest cousin was admitted, tested positive and put in ICU. Today we found out he is now on a ventilator and that his Mother (my Aunt) was also admitted along with my cousin's grown Daughter and step son. So much for thinking things may be getting better.
Plus in 2 weeks will be 1 year since I buried my Mother.

I have a lot of shooting planned.

Be safe all and God Bless,

You and your wife stay safe and warm, good on you for the donation of the N95's. I happened to find 4 in my workshop which I am grateful to have.

I'm highly reluctant to post any more on this topic, but I'll take a last shot at it.

Yesterday we lost my cousin Allan. This morning we lost his Mother, my Aunt Charlene. They were 2 rooms away from each other and never had the chance to see each other while in. Been hard not having a chance to visit them.

Be sure to tell those you care about that you love them. Do it as soon as possible.

So sorry to hear that Charlie, such a waste of life.
I just hope, putting all the political retoric aside and sabre rattling, that someone comes clean with this virus bto ensure it never happens again for the sake of our Grand children.

Wise words inspired by bitter circumstances.
