Today I fell victim to the “lock-down syndrome”.
At 08:00 I took the motor saw and went on killing my hedge. 40 metres of oooooold pines. Thick and heavy like lead.
But I wanted to destroy those beasts and did it. I have a lot more garden to use after this action.
Now I’m in bed. My hands are so tired and shaken that I could barely hold the cutlery during dinner.
For drinking, I switched to a bucketJust for the stability issue while holding it.
Everything is itching: arms, legs, neck because of lots of damned roses that were growing everywhere in the hedge, “front and rear jewles” because of all the sawdust I got everywhere. Face, arms, neck and legs burn because of sunburn.
But I’m really happy. I accomplished my task and spent a whole day without feeling captive. I had a few artisan made beers during the ordeal, but not enough to make the handling of the saw dangerous.
Carabinieri drove by 2 times, police once and civil protection once too. I always waved and thanked them, although I sometimes think that right now, they are the armed hand of possible oppression. Unwilling, but still bond by the oath of obedience.
I wonder what would have happened if we all were “lowlifes” instead of honest citizen (and taxpayers)...
I never saw them around my house, or in my forlorn little village before... Irritating enough.
Defcon stays at three. I’d like to lower it to four, but I don’t trust the government at all...
Be ready. Better than being sorry in case...
I wish all a great new and healthy week.
