Well spotted Surpmil. I didn't notice the 'work' on the rear ring at first. It's all correctable with a will, but is it worth doing unless you have an appropriately equipped rifle to put it on? I suppose it comes down to how badly you want one. The scope is cosmetically alright so if optically ok it is still worth money....

I agree, it's do-able and the case is rarely found. It's all how much one wants it, as always.

Since he was chopping the rear ring around you'd wonder why the fellow didn't reverse the hook so that it actually absorbed some recoil forces.
