I wonder if the Korean war has now largely been forgotten, to a large extent, amongst the general population? I say this because I recently found myself explaining the basic facts and details of the conflict to an acquaintance.

It's not just the Korean War. One sad thing about lengthy peace is that we all tend to forget how it came about. Sadder still, some bent on whitewashing the ugliness out of history so we'll be doomed to repeat it...
