    PWA A2 clone

My latest AR acquisition...a PWA A2 clone. 1/7 E MP (EMCO I believe) barrel. This is the second PWA AR I've owned. I've heard conflicting info on whether PWA built whole rifles or lowers only. I see no forge marks on the upper anywhere.
Range trip this weekend...hope the EMCO barrel doesn't turn out to be a dud. I've just recently read that a number of them had some FTE issues. Fingers crossed.

Failure to extract? If so, try some polishing with fine paper on a rotary mandrel...and what kind of ammo was being used when they didn't extract? Some of the lacquered case stuff? It'll be fine...let us know.

Don't know if that's the case with this one yet. When I got it, I looked up the EMP marking, found it to be EMCO. Apparently they supplied 'kits' to update M16icon rifles, primarily for the Air Force, Coast Guard, and some reserve and National Guard elements. Some were reported to have FTE issues due to rough machining and they discontinued the use.

K, if it's hard to extract then a bit of paper will likely sort it out. They should be chromed so the machining shouldn't be an issue...anyway, shoot it and see.

    E stamped barrels

In preparation for deployment to Afghanistan in 2003 at Ft Dix, our M-16's were turned in for inspection....Any E stamped barrels were a no go for deployment, but OK for stateside....Used IMI ammo for train up...First time for me....Maintenance shop had a barrel cut down thru the chamber.....it was ugly....there was a 4x4x4 bin of cut in half barrels...it was 1/3 full....

Well, I got lucky with this one then. It's a heckuva shooter. Put close to 200 rounds through it this weekend, not one malfunction.

Should be a bunch of AR's coming out of this country in the next year or two, as they've been banned by Fidel Trudeau, along with a whole raft of other arms.
“There are invisible rulers who control the destinies of millions. It is not generally realized to what extent the words and actions of our most influential public men are dictated by shrewd persons operating behind the scenes.”

    Edward Bernays, 1928

Much changes, much remains the same.

I can't imagine them being exported...I don't know anyone willing to do that.

We can't import them to the USAicon. They've been banned since 1988-89. Thank Bush 41 for that.
