I'm basing this on the coding series we used when I was in the printing industry from the 70's to the 90's it could be right or wrong. Month of year is alpha, year is numeric.
So your G 11 will translate into July 2011.
Thanks for the help, the coding must mean something else because the IAA shows the box design changes in 2004 but you are right knowing the box information would not really reflect the ammo manufacture date.
