Is the Receiver marked on the front left side under the stock... SI ? or SG ?
I have to check the barrel, be back this afternoon.

Painter777 I assume that it is marked. Seller says he got it from elderly neighbor and hasn’t taken it apart. I see this in in the sn range for SI or SG reveivers

It has had the barrel replaced.
3rd picture down makes the trigger housing color look like that plum color, we see from a finish from over seas.
Front sight (best I can see) looks like it has that Saginaw groove on it.
8th picture maybe showing impression of once having a wider band on it.. hard to see.
Stock has some value to it, more if it still has the boxed SG and CC stamp.
Not a Original, but depending on internals..... maybe worth the price of a shooter+
Swivel also looks to be on backward...... maybe marked on the other side?
I hope this little but helps,
Charlie
PS If your still interested ask for pictures of the barreled/receiver out of the stock.

Blued vs polished and blued.
Look at the one on HLV and notice the two tone appearance of the side of the receiver.
They blasted the top of the receiver to reduce glare.
The one that you are looking at appears polished and blued. Many of those plum trigger housings have been seen on guns that people had blued.
Interesting is the use of SG parts mentioned as well as the stock.
The receiver has the 50th number that SG used for receivers made by them for Inland
This is the earliest in Carbine Collector Club records for an SI marked receiver
If you do buy this please consider filling out a data sheet and submitting it.

The finish doesn't match the finish on my 6-digit inland. You do have the nice high-wood stock whichbmine has also, but like mine, yours appears to have been sanded since I can't see any of the cartouche mark. Since I only paid $600 for mine, I easily overlooked the sanded stock. If the price is right, buy it and enjoy!
