My hope is next year some aren't having a celebration of our divorce from any acknowledgement of our history good and bad.
Celebrate the good and learn from the bad in an effort to not repeat it. Treat everyone in the same manner in which you would like to be treated.
It is not rocket science.

HOH, It's easy to forget in the immediacy of things that there have been very few periods in our short history where we haven't been embroiled in a hot war, a cold war or a culture war. And we often do two of those at the same time. But in the end, we'll abide. Resilience is one of our enduring qualities. At least it better be.

Living in Cali I am sure you have to be an optimist. Lets hope we can "keep our republic". Thanks for the encouragement.

, happy Independence Day! If you love your freedom, hug a veteran. Ask first of course. And to the next knuckleheads that want to play some games with our tea...nevermind. I can't be mad at a country that gave us

, Led Zeppelin and James Bond.

Tea wasn't the cause, anymore than stamps were; it was all about money, and who controls it.
And of course it has been ever since!
