Jim,
Did you read his description ?
Reading between the lines reveals some tells.
EDIT To Add: I should add about the barrel, I recall seeing a different maker, I believe a Inland from oversea use that showed crimp marks there. Unless there is some blow by it might be good to go. What I found interesting was the front of the barrel where the stepped down area for the front sight looked like it wasn't the smaller diameter you'd expect, but tough to tell from pics. To his credit the seller is advising having someone qualified to look it over. I'd call it a honest description and he lists his concerns.
I wonder if it did need some work if someone like fellow member Manteo could take care of it.
Also the IP receiver he states seen over seas use. Now I wonder if before those numbers (what ever they stand for) that that area was buffed or grinded smooth for them to stamp them. Maybe while doing so it caused that lateral line I show above ?
Seeing his Feedback I highly doubt if it was stress cracked there that he wouldn't have mentioned it.
Wonder if one could grind or mill those off then refinish the complete receiver. I've seen IP receivers sell for over $2 K.
I also see in his other items that he has a nice complete Inland barrel...... Plus a really nice looking SG receiver fairly priced with a real flip sight.
Just happened across them and curious to other thoughts.
Enjoy the last bit of weekend.
