Are you degenerate reloader?
I have a lot more experience than expertise, still have both eyes and most of my fingers though.

I've sprinkled a fair bit of "decomposing" or "mystery" powders on the garden over the years. If you think it is expensive stuff in the US of A, it's downright scary over here in Oz, Still better to fertilize the roses than wreck a good gun or, yourself. Only way it kills weeds is if you pile it up on them and ignite it. Take care of your eyebrows; some of those mystery "shotgun" powders can burn pretty fast out in the open..

Hoppes is much better utilized by the females as an attractant perfume. At least, hereabouts.

Had a buddy who taught concealed carry classes. He used to sweep up all the brass and dump it in 5 gallon buckets and take it home. Finally got tired of all the brass sweeping so asked me if I wanted it. All 38 special and only fired once. I have a 40 mm ammo can full of it. Same thing for 45 acp and 40 S&W. One year I started being the brass rat at our club. Anything and everything went into a bucket and home it went. when I stopped I had 10 of those buckets. Scrap yard scale said 450 pounds when I scrapped it. Slowed down considerably so now only get 45acp. Old age has caught up with me so have to take it easy on my back. Used to mine the pistol range berms. Many of us shot only 230 grain hard cast in our 45's. So when the pistol range was closed for the monthly high power matches. I'd be out there with a sifter made of 2"x4"s a rake and shovel. Still have a couple buckets in the garage. Frank
