[QUOTE=Is that a little blob of weld I can see, to fix the barrel to the main body?[/QUOTE]
Yes, I would say it is on the head of the UK required spec. Drilled through the receiver & barrel, to have a steel pin inserted. & the head welded over to prevent barrel removal.
UGLY & HORRIBLE!!!! What would it have taken, to have simply countersunk the hole after drilling the Recievier. Insert the pin, & weld it over. Then, dress flush & a small dap of paint?........
Even when you deactivate a weapon to make it a useless lump of metal. What happening to craftsmanship/ professional workman like standards?............

It would have been better to have drilled from the underside of the gun and that way you would never see the pin. That's how a number of UK dealers do it.

I have been spending some time on the milling machine and have done the modifications to the front of the body.
my next step will be to modify the butt slide. I have not been able to find any detail on what was done to the butt slide. I do have several pictures showing that metal was removed from the lower side of the rails. but was that all that was done?
thanks
