I have thought about it having occurred in training, and then I think about how much trouble I would have been in if I had brought my weapon back to the armorer with permanent damage to it, or if my platoon Sgt had seen it. Its possible they were more lenient on troops back then, but I doubt it. In combat, no one would care. I have had the clip not insert in the magazine well if the rounds are misaligned. If I was in combat I wouldnt care a lick if I slapped that clip against the side. Wait a minute, except for the rifle range, wouldn't you be using blanks in training?
