Welcome aboard Joe. Start your research here: https://www.milsurps.com/content.php...-united-states
Then here: https://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=20878
And if you've exhausted all that and still have questions, fire away sir. Absorb this content and you'll learn things about these rifles you didn't know you had a question for yet. That's been my experience anyway.
I have a lot more experience than expertise, still have both eyes and most of my fingers though.

Hello everyone,
I am Dutch collector.
Started collecting 4 years ago.
now i try to specialize in Lee Enfield Rifles
. I own a small collection of No.4 rifles.
Also interested in all European made military rifles from 1890 - 1960.

JUST JOINED
Hello everyone,
Being a rather new collector of classic c&r military firearms I thought it would be great to join and be part of this unique community. I started collecting 6 years ago with my first being a Mosin Nagant and was hooked. My main interest is the weapons of WWII although do have pre and post WWll as part of my collection. I truly appriate them all and the history behind them.
Most recently I purchased two M1
Carbines through RTI and have a question about the second one, an early production Inland with the flip sight. After inspecting it and using Craig Riesch's book as a guide from what I can see its all correct (not a rebuild) including the stock however on the stock is an RIA EB stamp indicating a refurbished rifle. This rifle clearly was not rebuilt. What I'm thinking is the original stock was replaced with the RIA stamped stock at some point.
I have been given the oportunity to exchange this for a different one through RTI but am up in the air as to what to do. I'm afraid what I get in return may not be all maching and not in as good of condition. It's luck of the draw. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Hello everyone
I’m new to milsurps.com and very excited to dive into all the knowledge contained within these pages. I’m afraid I caught the bug about ten years ago and now have an unhealthy obsession with all things Enfield.

Welcome SkyFly. If you haven't found it already take a look here: https://www.milsurps.com/forumdisplay.php?f=110
You'll find an incredible amount of research, publications and all kind of goodies specific to your Carbines. Nice pickup by the way, integral part of any milsurp collection.

Hello,
I'm a new member as of today. I've been involved in firearms since the mid 70s. I am in the throes of my Enfield bucket list projects. I've had four No1 Mk III receivers from Springfield Sporters for decades. I kept them in a 30cal can immersed in Dextron ATF. They came out as new as when they went in. Can interior and ATF have not degraded. Two of them have cutouts. Been researching Sarco, Numrich, Liberty Tree, Century and texting with BDL
LTD. Great fun. They say if you want to keep your brain young, do something difficult. I feel younger everyday.
