Looks like a machine-made NCO sword... my father brought one back like that.

Just looking at the heat shields on the 30's in the back ground all discoloured by excessive heat so have been put to good use!

Don't believe NCO sword with solid cast handle. See fitting at end of handle and brass piece at beginning of blade.
