Perhaps this should be on the Martini Forum, but it looks like this cartridge is so fat it that it's dies won't fit a normal press. The cost the reloading components of this round is scary enough without finding out too late they can't be used. What experiences have you?

"...cost of reloading components..." Yep, pricey cartridge to load. Kind of ok that 'Zulu' isn't on TV often. That movie always makes me want to run out and buy a Martini-Henry. Haven't ever seen one in decent enough condition at a reasonable price. YouTube is good for some stuff. If you haven't seen Zulu...(crank up the sound. Stirs the blood so it does. 11 VC's were awarded for Roarke's Drift).
Midway wants $140 something RCBS for .577-450 dies. Comes with a thread adaptor to fit a regular press. 90 plus day wait too. They list Lee dies at $79.99. They want $65.99 per 20 for Jamison brass. $346.99 per 100. Bertram brass runs $154.95 Cdn per 20(yeah), up here.
I have a how-to(.pdf file) for making reloadable brass out of 3/4" bar stock(needs a lathe) if you want it. No dies required. They're kind of like a removable chamber insert. Out of an old Gun Digest Treasury. Has load data for them too. toheir@hotmail.com
Nate, if you have a rcbs press take out the bushing then the dies will fit. make your brass out of 24 ga shot shells, easy to do just take your time.go to the martini form lots of help there.
Good martini's can be had from IMA or atlanta cutlery. They are from the nepal cache. I am on my second loading with jamison brass and i donot have to resize the brass, so I am not using any dies at all. I removed a decpping rod from a set of 45-70 dies and deprime by hand.
