I'm still seeing four kinds of people here.
The quiet ones who are sitting and waiting but realizing that something might have to be done soon and it might be unpleasant. By quiet I mean no real physical action, other than speaking out and perhaps attending rallies. This is probably the largest group but still not a majority of the nation, just the largest. I put myself into that category as are most of my friends. I've really backed away from those in a couple of the other groups although I can say I have zero friends in the next group I will describe.
The rioters, the ones that shout the loudest, the ones that demand freebies, the ones that don't really give a damn about anyone but themselves and have no real understanding of how anything works. These are the ones not afraid to take action now because neither of the other two groups is really pushing back. When group one decides to push back, these idiots are in serous trouble and I expect them to disappear into the winds. This is probably the smallest group but appears to be the largest because they are the squeaky wheel.
The third group contains the fearful, the ones that will trade anything to save their lives. This bunch is not exactly rational sometimes but doesn't pose a serious threat to anyone unless it's on the individual level when they freak out on someone and attack them for not wearing a mask, etc. How large this one is is difficult to say but it's pretty big. This group will be worthless in any confrontation.
The fourth group and it's a big one, those that just don't take a position on anything either way. They just want to be left alone and live their lives and will do what the government says just to keep the peace. They probably don't vote, don't watch the news, couldn't tell you what the capital of their state is, etc. They probably only notice when their bar is closed down but they'll just move on to something else. Home party, etc. This group could also be potentially the largest. Hard to tell which side they will join if push comes to shove.
What's interesting in all this is that this current situation resembles the time when our nation was born. The majority of people didn't care one way or another, a small minority wanted to stay with Englandand a larger minority wanted to break away and eventually forced the others to take a side. The activists are reversed however with those wanting to destroy the country being the fired up ones at the moment.
