I might try to locate an M2 fun lever, not operational, purley for the look.
I remember reading somewhere that mock levers used to be available, are they still about guys?
I see new ones on Ebay over here, but seller says no outside US shipping.
I'll include picture.

Just forming a straight lever with drilled hole in the bottom for short screw, so it can move fore and aft.?
