But to return to the matter at hand, Peter once described it to me as "Land Rover Deep Bronze Green", and if I remember reading LRO Magazine, that is/was in fact a stock colour.

This colour is an almost exact match for the interior orange found on many chests. It's a "DIY type" general purpose paint. Beware of the vendors selling the red as orange on eBay. Obviously one needs to ensure that one purchases the orange and not the red to get a colour match.
