I wish JB would find this thread and comment here. I have seen a thread somewhere in the past from him. "spread", large and small font, and boxed RLB cartouches by approximate year. It seems to me they were all early production rifles and stocks. A later 3.3 rifle would be correct with an Atwood marked stock with A3 attributes.
Wish I saved that Pearl from JB, but never fear, his book will reveal all.
My 3.2 late '42 rifle with Rem. stock sports a boxed RLB but it's been rebuilt, and a discussion with RTL said this was well into the A3 progression, and should be a pinned early FJA stock.
