I assume it was made for export; seeing as it's marked Germany
and not Deutschland.

of that i,m not sure as I haven,t been able to find any records books or any other info to tell me who made it as Boker was big into Knifes and such I assumed they had someone else build with there name on it but we all know what assumed can do so this is why i put it out there someone knows about this rifle somewhere

The action looks similar to a Gew 1888 or a Mannlicher, but scaled down in size.

"...marked Germany
and not Deutschland..." Being marked with a country of origin is an American thing as I recall. Hence the English.
It seems Herr Boker made or sold a lot of outdoorsy stuff. Knives, air rifles and shotguns too.
There's a U.S. Civil War US Model 1860 Light Cavalry Saber on Guns International. Gives us an approximate date he was working.
Spelling and Grammar count!

If it was made for the home market I'm not sure that it would say anything? When one thinks about it there are numerous examples of German made products/equipment, not for export, where it doesn't actually state the fact that it was made in Germany
, in German or any other language.
