    I finally took the butt plate off. It's hard to see but the crack penetrates the stock down to the holes bored into the stock. I can't see where this can help but blow out. It's six days old and still a virgin. I'm going to contact CPM and see if I can drive up there and trade stocks. Wish me luck.
    I have pictures but can't copy paste them for some reason. If someone has a real morbid curiosity, emal me and I'll send you a copy.
