7.7 Japanese will not chamber in a 6.5 Japanese rifle. 30-06 will not chamber in a 6.5 Japanese or 7.7 Japanese rifle. .303 will not chamber in a 7.7 Japanese rifle.

There was cases of 6.5 rifles having chambers reamed out for .30-06 and people shooting it with the 6.5 bore, just as you can have all sorts of modified chambers and such on any rifle. But your standard rifles will not accept those calibers.
