You need a closed end at front...the left hand cap.

Is cutting down the no4 cap correct or is there more to them thanks 🙂

there is more to it than that - a dedicated nose cap is required. I've got a couple - where are you based?

Far more to it. If you get his spare you're good. Peter Laidler
spoke of removing them and tiddling up the forend without the cap.
