    Your Model 12 riot gun actually dates to 1949. I seriously doubt it is a military contract shotgun. If it was I would think it would have U.S. martial markings. And as I recall, most if not all Model 12 riot guns did not have sling swivels. It's probably just a riot gun ordered with sling swivels or perhaps the swivels were added.

    If you can post photos of the front and rear swivels we might be able to tell if they are the same as the military contract swivels.
