Another Anzac Day
Not sure what to do this Anzac Day, have not marched since getting out in 1992, don't even go to the RSL Club.
Took my 1915 Lithgow
, my 1915 Morris Trench periscope and some 1915 dated ammo and gave them a run.
While not off a sandbagged parapet, we did the best we could. You have seen these bits before, but not the end result from 100yds. Even the young bucks can use this vintage technology.

No Warren, it's a ridgey didge unit made specifically for trench warfare.
The sights cannot be used from the rear as normal, only from the right or left side.
Smerdon. my last unit was RAEME, my marble came out back in 1966.

Sorry Warren, didn't realise this was a chicken and egg question.
As the training refractors were around for the Martini's, I guess they came first.

Hey Cinders, no clicks or bangs.....I wrote that in my first draft that seems to have gone to that place where all missing things go.
Sat the ammo in the sun for awhile, old trick....still works.
Gotta say, other than the extra elevation for the Mk.VI ammo, I was rather impressed.

Hey BAR, don't ask me how it works, it just does.
Been written about back in Jim Sweets days.
Most click bangs are primer related, so I guess a bit of heat must improve that initial ignition.
