Russian SKS Type 45 in Canada

    Hi All,
Just purchased a Russianicon SKS Type 45 (Hand Pick Grade) for $459 and 2 boxes of cheap Bernaul ammo for $20 from a firearm store here in Canadaicon. It's called Tenda Canada at gotenda.comtheu had a bunch of Type 45 and Type 56. I'm really looking forward to getting this rifle!! I will post some pics once I receive it...well back to doing work on my Lee Enfield No4.

DJ that is a good deal on the rifle and ammo, you did good! We have Wolf, Red Army Standard and Barnaul ammo and the Barnaul white box is the most accurate and clean burning of the three in our Russianicon, Chinese and Yugoslavian M59/66A1. Congratulations and enjoy, we look forward to some photos.
    From my cold dead hands.

A real live Russianicon...I remember when those commanded a huge premium back in the '80s when there weren't any.

Field stripped it down today. Cleaned it all up!! However I would like to upgrade the firing pin by adding a spring to it. Not too keen on the slam fire possibility! But yeah this gun is in fantastic shape. There was very little rust, just in a couple spots and I used the brass brush and some G96, also used the G96 to clean everything else too! SKS is super clean now and the rifling looks really good as well!!
Can't wait to shoot it!! Oh by the way it came with 3 stripper clips, Tula Ammo pouch, oil bottle & butt stock cleaning kit.
