03 barrel and 03 front sight base & blade on 03a3 rebuild?

If I use an 03 barrel and 03 front sight base with an 03a3 receiver will the front site be at the same height as an 03a3 front sight? I understand there are different front sight blade heights for the 03a3.

yes there are different height blades. It all depends on the shooting profile of you rifle. You may need to decrease the height or increase the height of the blade. Only shooting will tell.

Thank you for the reply. I understand how the different blade heights work in a standard 03a3 front sight My real question is if I use an '03 barrel and '03 front sight assembly with an '03a3 receiver and '03a3 rear sight will the front sight be close to the right height? The '03 front sight is in a dovetail. I can build up or take off metal from the top of the blade if it is close to the right height.

Rustygun-- I measured one of each. The 1903 sight total height with the base was 1.430 while the 03a3 was 1.490. So the 03a3 is .060 higher (on my rifles anyway). Salt Flat

Yes, similar range of measurement from few other 03s and 03a3s. I can get some specifics on certain ones if you have need of that.
