I think they had a short timer on cart reservations. not saying you delayed, but a lot of folks added one to cart, then perused for a couple minutes looking for other models, then clicked on cart and it refreshed to empty. I went straight to what I had planned as first choice, added to cart, checked the IBMs for my kid and saw only lower grade ones left, and said screw it and checked out. I had only planned on getting one anyway, a didn't think it wise to get picky. if some people were prompted to create an account at checkout, that may have take longer than the timeout and they got theirs booted from cart. lot's of possibilities for why. every site I've seen the code for has a cart timer, where cart item is returned to main inventory after a period. if you go to checkout after the timeout, it tries to re-reserve the item, unless the inventory is exhausted then you are screwed.

reading up on rear sights, I wonder if any have original flip sights? mine does has the later slide, I think the stamped one. I imagine the swap occurred in the one govt. inspection that midway claimed happened in the early 50's I think.

I wouldn't bother with the jiggly trigger housing. Carbine people don't really care and it doesn't alter accuracy. Just don't try to peen the receiver lug.
And never, ever say the word "Winnie". It's a Win, Winchester or you can use the Garandicon term WRA.

    .
Not the case. I went immediately to the checkout. I was almost done when the system went down. I couldn't complete the checkout due to the system failing. They even apologized for the glitch and posted the apology on line. They failed, not me, and they admitted it. I got the boot at 9:04 EST. I already had an account and they had my CC number on file. I do business with them often. The same thing happened to several people that I know of and it happened to all of us at exactly the same time. You can't blame it on us waiting too long to check out.

When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!

I really don't believe it was anything other than too many people selecting something they weren't going to get, because there weren't enough of them, and the system gliched. Some people got one because that was the number available.
