    Question Does this look real?

Look at the knurling! The knurling is not rounded across the top like my real elevation knob is. This is the broad opened arrow one I need for my Winchester but I've some reservations about this. Anyone can make them look old and shot out.

    Question

The seller says it is an early windage knob and is supposed to be flat. Maybe it is not the one I need afterall.

The windage knob in your pictures is very different from the one for sale on eBay. The one for sale has the same knurling as the others only flat.

It is legit. Look at the image where the knob shaft is pointed up. The metal cuts between the 4 stops are always slightly extended over the edge. Typical of a late Winchester.

Here are a couple of pics of a Winchester sight with the same type knob.

Thanks guys! Do you guys think it would be correct for my 2388849 Winchester?

    Checkered knobs ...

Checkered knobs have appeared on the very end of production Win-13's (as have sight seals - go figure). Though hardly considered 'correct' much after the mid to late 1.2 era, it is possible for any of these earlier parts to appear on later rifles (well, maybe not keystones and flat buttplates).
