Another question, how do I clean it without damaging it and wouldn't the asbestos exposure attach to whatever is cleaning it like a washing machine

I would think if there were any asbestos particles, they would just be washed down the drain with the water when the washer drains

Asbestos gets such a bad rap. Yes it can cause certain lung diseases…after years and years of breathing industrial levels of dust.
The minuscule dust from one jacket cleaned in a washing machine will 100% not harm anyone.
For anything else asbestos (perhaps insulation on ducting in your home), just leave it alone. It’s not gonna jump up and bite you.
Better safe than sorry, I understand, but seriously, you’ll be fine.
