    Joe, Also was given a 1943 carbine scabbard years ago, but the straps did not match the scabbard color and had black enamel gloss paint on the metal. Later
    found out the straps were reproduction. It is very difficult to locate any WW2 scabbards with original straps.

    I don.t think your straps are original - my opinion

    Charlie Painter would know !
