It's all done, the headspace is exact. The military rifles are so much better built. It takes a beating and still delivers a accurate rifle. Restoration of the model 38 is easier to accomplish since the rifle was built before WWII.

The 25th series Kokura Arsenal Arisakaicon Type 38 serial 00451 is awesome to work on, A better rifle than the 99. Finding one that is not disfigured, re stamped, a POS, is hard to locate. This one that I am restoring is/was missing parts that I was able to find.

One part that is been very difficult to find is the safety. Anyone has a late 38 safety I'm looking for one.

All of the firearms in my armory are 100% correct. Every firearm headspace is right on, you can grab any of them and they are ready to shoot. I have 60+ firearms every one of them has been restored perfectly.
