Found this old print at an estate sale. The "CND" suggests some of sort of Canadian
project?

That's the gun that used a helical feed system similar to the Calico, there are pictures of it firing in the Nelson/Musgrave Machine pistols Attachment 95544series from the late 60's early '70s.
Yes it was Canadian, but not related to Sterling.
