Thanks, it helped me to read about the serial numbers.
I have a book (Japanese rifles of WWII)) on the rifles and it helps me out also.
The 38 Arisaka model I have, was made somewhere about 1935-1940ish I'm guessing. 25th series Kokura Arsenal Arisaka Type 38, serial number 00451.
