I believe this model should be just fine since they went to forging instead of cast. Rob Ski has been working with Riley defense as well which can only improve things in my opinion. Just like any company, they've had a few lessons learned. Enjoy your AK, they are about as much fun as you can have with clothes on

The reviews I have read/seen from the last year are all saying GTG since the change to forged. I confirmed with Riley that mine was current manufacture with forged parts. Fit and finish is phenomenal! And yes, that is GORGEOUS furniture!
