    The Chinese have already recognized the Taliban and their military attaches will be all over whatever US equipment they can lay their hands on as soon as possible. The Chinese have proven themselves very adept at stealing, reverse engineering, and then producing clones of Western technology at whatever level of quality the customer can afford.

    Ozymandias
    BY PERCY BYSSHE SHELLEY
    I met a traveller from an antique land,
    Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
    Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand,
    Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
    And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
    Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
    Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
    The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
    And on the pedestal, these words appear:
    My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
    Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
    Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
    Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
    The lone and level sands stretch far away.”

    The Chinese, Russians, North Koreans and Iranians were probably sorting thru the super secret US and allied gear and making bids before Biden had his ice cream on Marine 1...

    The question is how much secret/advanced technology kit was supplied in the first place and how much remains in the country?

    Someone please confirm, but is that not a Hind helicopter in the main picture? If so it may have been helpful if the article had pointed out that the helicopter was Russianicon made.

    Yes a Russianicon helicopter which most people, having read the article, will probably have assumed was an American made helicopter.

    I trust you have more trust in your armed forces than many of you are displaying right now in this forum?

    I dare say that there is a lot if trust in the Armed Forces themselves… what’s lacking is the trust in the politicians who take(?) the decisions…
