Nice serviceable lookin' rifle now. Lots of character, not over pretty so you can use it regularly without fear. Did you get all the hardware parkerized to match? Grey?

Yep, the CMPicon barrel is parked, so I had all the metal parked to match and look like the WW2 era rebuild. I was worried about bolt setback on the receiver, an early Winchester, but it turned out to be a non issue. It was always going to be a shooter, so finishing it this way made sense.

Surprisingly, soon after this project was complete I came into another m1917 barreled receiver, an Eddystone, and then was lucky to get a stock as a gift. I already had a front sight and stock metal, so only needed a few parts more and now I have two 17s. Neither is collectible, but both shoot great, and I'm happy with the results.
