Looks like it's made for line throwing - hook the pintle over the railing. point and fire. This type would eliminate recoil issue from heavy loads

Nothing illegal about it if it is registered. For that matter, if it was imported in that configuration it may be legally considered a pistol, I'd have to look at the exact laws on original configuration vs import configuration.

Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

I had the same thought. I’d be interested to see how the ATF would rule on that one.
