In the case of a clearing rod, I'm not concerned with "correct" because if it's wrong it can just be pulled out of the existing slot. I also have the 1896 date bayonet that was designed to fit over the rod.
I found a guy in NZicon that makes them and ships to the US, I'll see what I end up with when I get them.
