Validation of authenticity and valuation
a super nice and original m-3 by R.C.CO and m-6 scabbard by Milsco. set rates excellent plus with the knife having no loose parts. grip washers are space and crack free and cross guard has the ordnance wheel stamped on the guard. factory edge blade retains 98-99% of its deep blue finish with very minimal scratches at the tip. clearly hallmarked blade is R.C.CO stamped. leather scabbard is supple with all stitching intact, no open seams or cuts in leather. clearly stamped U.S. M-6 MILSCO 1943 below the throat. grip strap works fine. this item is a super nice addition to a knife lovers collection.
For some reason I am not able to post the pics of this one but it is for sale from a member rudy05

Here, for simplicity sake let's just link your thread... https://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=75493
As for the rest of your question, Rudy sells some very nice stuff and I have no doubt of it's originality. I also believe you'll find if you want an item this nice you'll pay that much.

I saw a similar M3 with the leather sheath at a large show in Portland at least 15 years ago. The price on the tag was a bit smudged and difficult to read - it looked like $190, so asked the seller if it was missing a 1 at the beginning ($1190)? I was wrong, it was missing a (0) at the end! That's the only U.S. M6 I've ever seen. - Bob

I have about several in my collection, I just wanted to get some other opinions because the M6 color and condition threw up some red flags. I need better pics to tell, he is sending more so I can tell.
