Beware - possible scam by jameswross

We've been advised by member “smgcon” to check the following new member.

Member jameswross joined 11-29-2021 using email address bradpitt3991@gmail.com

He only made 1 public post and he's already sent 29 PM's (Private Messages) for different items to other members here, asking them to contact a 3rd party at a different email address, as that person can sell them what they need.

If you have sent any money, I’d advise you STOP payment if possible.

I have deleted ALL of his PM's.

These scammers are getting more sophisticated, so “Caveat Emptor”.

I've have permanently banned him.

Note: To reduce fraudulent activity, we do not allow re-direction selling on our site, which means using our PM (Private Messaging) system instructing another member to contact third parties at a different email address than the one registered with our site. Only direct sales from our WTS/WTB/WTT classifieds area. Anyone doing this will be immediately banned for life without any recourse.

Its not a possible scam, IT IS A REAL SCAM! I got taken for 100$ by a willyvargasonjrb17@gmail.com email address that he forwarded to me. Its been two weeks and no tracking number as promised and no bayo!
I contacted this email address and got a single sentence response, "I will look into this". I believe the response to be a stalling tactic or just shining me on.

p.s., I misunderstood "re-direction selling" to be to an outside site like embay or GB. I didnt realize it applied to a private seller. Oh well, live and learn!
