Relics and Memories
Was going through the boxes of old family photos i have been blessed to be left with and found a very interesting family treasure. This was sent days before my Uncle Ray was injured in combat on the 21st of Dec.44. He was awarded the DSC for his actions when he was wounded. I haven`t seen this card since i was a kid but i remember my father telling me they got the card the same day they found out he had been hurt. My uncle was bigger than life itself never met a man who loved life more. Everything is better than what he already went through he said. I just wanted to share a treasure of our families and wonder how many treasures are hiding away with the key people that know the stories dying every day. God Bless all Past Present and Future Veterans.

Yeah they approved a post card with nothing on it Addressed from NY he was actually in France
at the time and he was moved up during the Bulge. It`s sad i`m the last one in my family that would even know what this is if i passed now. The history being lost every day is priceless. I love how it was addressed to Mom, my Grandmother.

I believe he was in Sicily and Italy
also because he used to say how beautiful those Latin Girls were.
