A good read book on sniping is Martin Pegler's Out of Nowhere: A History of the Military Sniper. There are a number of personal accounts that inform deeply.
They include German
and American snipers.
Have read pretty much all the books on sniping, manuals too, and still go to this one.

Yes they are. I did not know or even suspect that. Does that provide any insight into possible future volumes because I can't find any new ones forthcoming. I would think Berthier and Lebel would be noteworthy, especially since books in English on these are almost non-existent except for Ian's book.
