Bayonet

This bayonet with 16-inch blade fits my 1903 Springfield perfectly, but I do not find it mentioned as manufactured for the rifle. Is it a 1910 manufacture of an M1905?

You are correct. That's a model 1905 Springfield bayonet that was made in Springfield armory in 1910.

The first bayonet for the Model 1903 was the rod bayonet which was somewhat similar to the late trapdoor (1888) 45-70 rifle rod bayonet. It was soon replace by the Model 1905 blade bayonet.
