All good things come to those who wait.

7 years ago i purchased a Sht LE Mk V from a fellow in AZ.
Sadly the safety had been changed to a Mk III ... possibly during trials or service i would assume, since no MkV spares parts seem to have been manufactured in mass.
The previous owner told me he had purchased the rifle like that, back in 1990 and searched too in vain to find the right one
Anyway, a quick search thought me that quickly and any hope of finding one faded away quickly.
So i had a reproduction one made, using a Mk III safety as base.

Well 7 years later, 32 years in total of search i located one and the Mk V finally has it's safety back.
Thanks to some help in getting it here, it's now on the rifle.
2nd pic shows the repro i had made... it was close.

So the moral of the story... i always tell people not to rush any purchases, that the right rifle, the right part will eventually come to you.
It's a hobby, enjoy the search it's part of the fun.
