M1 rifles and still reportedly has warehouses full of them

And they are eager to sell them to dealers. However, we say they are MAP guns and must be returned to the Army. Korea says these are Garands they bought so they own them and can sell them. We then denied them import permits. They agreed to return them if we paid a handling and packing fee, and CMP said they would do that. The Army said no deal, we don't pay for our own guns.That's where it has been for about ten years and is likely to remain so..
